Everyone starts at Vector Marketing as an entry-level sales representative. Our reps schedule appointments and introduce prospective customers to CUTCO® Cutlery through one-on-one demonstrations. This can happen in a customer’s home or online with a customer. This has been pretty effective for us – over 19 million customers use CUTCO® in their kitchens every day.

ARE THERE ANY START-UP COSTS?

Nope. Once an individual completes training to become a sales representative, they’re loaned a CUTCO sample set that has a retail value of $425. As long as you remain active in the business, you’ll be able to borrow a sample kit for your demonstrations and show potential customers how great our products are. If you eventually decide you don’t want to continue selling CUTCO®, just send back the sample kit and you’re good to go.

HOW AM I PAID?

Our reps earn commissions for sales made. We also offer a guaranteed base pay per qualified appointment. This means you’re guaranteed to earn something for each qualified appointment completed, whether or not you sell anything. We pay weekly. So, you’ll get to see your hard work pay off at the end of each working week.

HOW DO I GET APPOINTMENTS?

You get started by showing CUTCO® to people you know to get some good practice. This allows you to become comfortable with the process and make mistakes without worrying about it. In training, we teach you how to ask for referrals, or leads, to others who might be interested in taking a look at CUTCO®. This effective “friends of friends” process ensures that you’re always connected to your prospective customer.

WHAT’S MY WORK SCHEDULE LIKE?

Your work schedule is entirely up to you. Our sales representatives are able to set their own appointments and determine how many they’ll complete each week. Don’t worry about things like minimum hours or unpredictable calendars; you can set your own schedule week-by-week based on when you’re available to work.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

Nope. We provide all the training you need to succeed as a sales representative. The initial unpaid training seminar is a three-day program led by experienced Vector professionals. You can participate at a local office or online, whichever works for you. Don’t worry: these sessions are interactive, engaging, and fun. On top of that, we offer optional ongoing training sessions and conferences. We’re always learning.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

Applicants need to be at least 18 years old. Not yet 18? You’re welcome to apply if you’re 17 years old and have also graduated from high school. We look for people who are:

-Positive thinking

However, these attributes alone won’t guarantee a successful CUTCO career.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS?

As a company, we award scholarships to students each year. To be a candidate for one of our scholarships, you must be a full-time college student and be among the best performers through a sales campaign.
